Artisans Angkor Silk Farm offers free guided tours through the entire process of how silk is made
Artisans Angkor Silk Farm is only 6 kilometer (3.5 miles) from Siem Reap, where you will see how silk worms are farmed, cocoon unwinding, the preparation of silk thread, dyeing and finally the weaving process.
The Silk Farm covers an area of about 8 hectares (of which 5 are used for the mulberry plantation) and a lovely place to spend a few hours.
At the end of the tour through our silk workshop, we offer a comprehensive overview of the history of silk throughout Cambodia in our museum.
Our Silk Museum is dedicated to the preservation and expansion of public knowledge of our Cambodian heritage through silk fabrics, clothing and traditional weaving tools.
The Angkor Silk Farm also features a large showroom, where you can buy high-quality silk products, which are made at the workshop from where you have visited.
Booking a guide in advance is not necessary – except for groups of more than 12 people.
